Further on, in a box, a 34-year-old young man also has fever and kidney pain. In another box, a woman cannot help coughing. Emergency physicians are increasing the number of tests to be able to refer patients to the right department, depending on the severity of their condition. “Given the age and the likely risks, at more than 80 years, of a deterioration of her respiratory state, I think that we will keep her to monitor her condition in the coming days”, explains the head of service.
