In three regions of Spain, schools and homes for the aged are closed for two weeks. Gatherings of more than 1,000 people are prohibited and sports competitions will be held behind closed doors. While it was thought that northern Europe was rather spared by Covid-19, Denmark confirms 516 cases and decides to take drastic measures, including the closure of schools, universities and libraries. Gatherings of more than 100 people are prohibited.
In the UK, an emergency meeting around Prime Minister Boris Johnson is to take place. The politician is expected to announce the transition to stage 2 of the epidemic and containment measures. New measures must be put in place such as closing schools, setting up teleworking or even canceling public gatherings. Finally, in Greece, the government fears a catastrophic scenario. Schools and universities have been closed.
