Indeed, according to The voice of the North, the Directorate General of Competition, Consumer Affairs and Fraud Control (DGCCRF) announced this Friday, November 15 the recall of these small cakes increasingly used in the approach of the holidays. In question, a microbiological control that has highlighted the presence of Listeria monocytogenes in packets of 16 mini-blinis sold under the brands of Leclerc and Auchan.

The first product concerned is the brand Ronde des Mers Brand Mark of Leclerc, marketed under lot 101414 with the sanitary stamp FR 93.047.034 CE. Its deadline for consumption is 18/11/2019 and its reference is the Gencod 3564700025635 05 from the supplier Aspasia Bui Kim Khue. The product was marketed in Leclerc's self-service department as of October 17, 2019. The second product concerned by the recall is a package of blinis marketed by Auchan's distributor brand. The product references are EAN 3 596 710 466 948, stamped as FR 93.047.034 CE. Its deadline for consumption is 21/11/2019. As for Leclerc, people who have bought this product and have not yet consumed it are invited by Auchan to report it to the point of sale where it was purchased, and where it will be refunded.

People who have consumed invited to consult a doctor

Regarding people who have already consumed these blinis, they are invited to consult their doctor by reporting this consumption, whether or not they have fever, isolated or accompanied by headaches. These are indeed symptoms of listeriosis. “Listeriosis is a disease that can be serious and whose incubation time can be up to eight weeks,” said the Ministry of Solidarity and Health. Vulnerable people, such as pregnant women, people who are immuno-depressed or the elderly, need to be particularly sensitive to these symptoms.
