SNCF strike: users turn to the bus

In Bordeaux (Gironde), shipwrecked SNCF whose train was canceled turn to a plane B: bus trips. “I live in Paris and I'm forced to work, I'm already reading a morning, I'm going to go this afternoon, but I'm not sure I'm very fresh at work”, says a traveler. “We realized that there was very little space and that it was going very quickly”says a man.

A very popular alternative, which sometimes proves expensive. Due to demand, prices for bus travel have sometimes doubled or even tripled. “It's three times the price of the train ticket we took”, says a passenger. “There, they went up to 120-130 euros just to go to Paris”, says a customer. To ensure sufficient traffic and lower prices, bus companies should put more buses into service.
