The Tricolores are ahead of Turkey, two points behind.
Work well done. France wrapped up their playoff campaign for Euro 2020 with a solid victory against Albania in Tirana on Sunday (November 17th). The French quickly took off on the scoreboard, thanks to a fine header from Corentin Tolisso on a free kick from the 8th minute, and thanks to Antoine Griezmann's vista at half an hour of play. Building on this success , the Blues finish at the top of their group with 25 points, ahead of Turkey (23) and Iceland (19), and will have a relatively affordable group at the Euro 2020, next June.
Antoine Griezmann, who has distinguished himself throughout the game, scored his 30th goal in the French team, and joined Jean-Pierre Papin and Just Fontaine in the top scorers of the Blues. The Barça striker offered several caviars to his partners, who were either clumsy or stumbled on the Albanian goalkeeper who struggled for 90 minutes. Note in passing that Griezmann has chained his 35th game in a row in blue, the second best series in the history of selection behind Patrick Vieira.

Albania really put pressure on the Blues before the kickoff, when the public was unleashed by a thunder of whistles during the Marseillaise. The incident in the first leg, where a bad Albanian anthem (Andorra) was broadcast by mistake, was clearly not digested.
