More than a logo, a face that the French have five years to get to know. Monday, October 21, Tony Estanguet, president of the Organizing Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Paris 2024, revealed the drawing that will accompany the event: a gold-colored flame that reveals a female face. A visual that translates in particular “Audacity” for the former canoe champion, interviewed live during the 20 hours newspaper of France 2.

This logo combines “three symbols”, detailed Tony Estanguet. “Firstly a medal, this logo is in the shape of a medal and has the color of the gold medal, the second symbol for us is the flame … Our DNA is the Games the Olympic and Paralympic torch is what drives us, it is the energy that is transmitted from generation to generation, from country to country (…) The third symbol is a nod to “Marianne's eye, the symbol of France, it's a bit like our identity, our culture, our history”.

“We want these games to be different, to break the codes”added the president of the organizing committee of the Games. “This project is about people”he continued, making sure he wanted to put “more sport in French life.”
