Eric Toledano and Olivier Nakache refer explicitly to two associations in Ile-de-France, whose leaders are their longtime friends, Stéphane Benhamou, founder of the association Silence for the righteous, and Daoud Tatou, creator of the Relais Ile -of France. Both help families with autistic who can not manage their children to the most complex pathologies.

The directors go from laughter to tears in Out of the ordinary, where Vincent Cassel and Reda Kateb are surrounded by autistic and unprofessional actors who do not demerit in their performances. At their side, the very talented Hélène Vincent and Catherine Mouchet complete a five-star cast. The first quality of the film is to target a “France who is 40 years late“In the management of autistic, said Daoud Tatou. No institution does not take the risk of taking care of these serious pathological cases, even dangerous for their entourage and therapists.A gap in the French health system that points moreover the goodwill of deserving and fragile associations.

Eric Toledano and Olivier Nakache dotted their film with a host of truthful anecdotes that feed a story constantly revived. By multiplying the setbacks of their characters, they take the party of a chronicle, more than that of a simple story. They give a dynamic to a scenario that could have run short by following only one particular case. Far from being limited to a string of good feelings, Out of the ordinary could change the way we look at autism and its treatment in France. This is the best wish that can be formulated to this beautiful and deserving film.
