This is the story of a young woman who dedicates her life to the defense of her territory: thousands of hectares of Amazon rainforest in Ecuador. Nemonte Nenquimo, 34, is leading a resistance movement to prevent oil companies from entering his land and causing deforestation and environmental damage.
After months of fighting, in July 2019, it won a historic victory in court: it forced its government to suspend the auction of its territory.
